A prominent business figure in Coventry has paid a visit to one of the city’s fastest growing, high-tech engineering firms.
Peter Burns, the president of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, went along to Penso Consulting on the Middlemarch Business Park.
Burns was given a tour of the high-tech facility by one of his presidential predecessors, Paul Sullivan, and got to see progress on the company’s new 80,000 sq ft production space.
Penso, which offers a range of engineering solutions to clients in a range of sectors, from automotive to renewable energy – particularly around lightweight structures, has received government backing for its new building.
Burns said: “Penso is fast becoming a major success story for Coventry, the West Midlands and the UK.
“The company has a highly-skilled workforce of which the city can be proud and I was delighted to get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the wonderful work they are doing.”
Sullivan, Penso’s business development manager, said: “It was great to show Peter what we do here. We undertake a great deal of work for clients that must remain confidential but we gave him as big an insight as possible into the world-leading work we carry out.
“We are 100 per cent behind Peter and the Chamber’s desire to highlight the region’s successful businesses and I am delighted that Penso fits into that bracket.”
