Century-old Shipping and International Freight Forwarder Cory Brothers have re-located its South Wales operation to Eastern Business Park to be closer to its existing client base.
The shipping and logistics company have leased 800 sqft at the recently refurbished One Eastern Business Park, in St Mellons, maintaining a presence in Cardiff which started in Bute Street more than 170 years ago.
In 1842 the ship-broking and coal exporting business of Richard Cory & Sons was established in Cardiff Docks to serve the Welsh valleys by Richard Cory. His two eldest sons, Richard and John, joined the company and afterwards succeeded in the business as John & Richard Cory.
Over the following century, Cory owned land and mineral rights across the UK and had interests in oil terminals, fuel, engineering and chemical industries.Today the Cory Brothers name and reputation is known and respected in the shipping and transport industry across the world, with bases across the UK and in Singapore.
Since July 2003 Cory Brothers has been owned by Braemar Shipping Services plc, which provides ship-broking, technical, environment and logistics services. The company also supplies to international ship owners and charterers in the sale and purchase, tanker, LNG/LPG, offshore, container and dry bulk markets.
