Birmingham-based mechanical services contractor J S Wright has pumped up its capacity for serving a growing order book by recruiting three new Contracts Engineers.
Senior Contracts Engineer Mal Parmarand Contracts Engineer John Flynn will both be based at the company’s Aston head office, while Senior Contracts Manager Danny Johnson will work out ofJ S Wright’s offices in central London.
The trio,who have more than 80 years’ experience in the industry between them, bring to 128 the number of office and worksite staff at J S Wright, which has recorded a 40 per cent rise in turnover this year to more than £25m.
Mal Parmarwas previously a project manager for a mechanical services contractor in Cambridge. The former apprentice has worked on projects including the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham Airport and the John Lewis store in Solihull over more than 30 years in building services.
He is now responsible for a £6.5m project to design and install services for 441 apartments on brownfield land at 243 Ealing Road in Alperton, north London.
John Flynnproject-managed for an M&E contractor in London after starting his career 22 years ago as an apprentice pipe fitter and welder.
He has worked on a number of major London projects including the parliamentary offices atPortcullis House, Lloyd’s Building, and the refurbishment of Tower 42.He is currently working on the second phase of Indescon Court, a new 546-home high-rise mixed-use development in east London.
Danny Johnsonwas previouslya project manager for a London property developer, having started his career as a non-domestic gas engineering apprentice in 1988.
He has managedmajor contracts including the installation of services for the Battersea Reach development.Other projects include 16 Air Assault Garrison in Colchester and Clapham One. He isnow managing a £3.5m contract to equip 50 private and affordable apartments at 205 Holland Park Avenue in London.
