Leading property consultant CBRE has announced the letting of 14 Albert Street in Aberdeen to Rigex Limited on behalf of landlord The Goldcrest Company (UK) Ltd.
Rigex Ltd has acquired the entire building, comprising three floors totaling 2,273 sq ft as well as five car park spaces, on a five year FRI lease at a rental of £68,000 per annum. The B-listed mid-terraced granite townhouse is located on Albert Street in the prime west end office district of Aberdeen.
Rigex specialises in industrial lifting solutions, targeting the oil and gas industry with its comprehensive range of lifting services. The business, which is being supported both financially and operationally by S urvivex, a leading international training and development company, is aiming to expand and requires a larger office to allow for this growth.
Iain Landsman, associate director at CBRE in Aberdeen, said: “The Aberdeen West End office market continues to perform well and it is great to see this well located property being snapped up by an exciting new, expanding company such as Rigex, representing the trend of emerging oil and gas services in Aberdeen.
“The Aberdeen office market remains very buoyant and as shown in this case when the landlords spend the money to make an office ready to walk in, they don’t remain in the market for very long.”
Andrew Green, Managing Director of Rigex, said: “The space at 14 Albert Street is ideal to support our plans for growth given the quality of the space and its excellent location.”
Rigex will be in good company with occupiers in close proximity including Canadian Overseas Petroleum, Interfac Limited, Energy Ventures, Safetec UK Limited and Esson Properties Limited.
