The official opening of Yü Energy’s state of the art new offices has taken place – with a champagne and canapé launch event celebrating the firm’s arrival in Nottingham.
The exciting new energy supply company welcomed representatives from across the business community in Nottingham to the reception on Thursday, as well as special guest The Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Cllr Ian Malcolm.
Yü Energy is creating more than 60 new jobs at the £2m new premises at Nottingham Business Park, close to Junction 26 of the M1.
The firm will be providing energy initially to the business sector – promising huge savings compared to the ‘Big Six’ suppliers. Originally based in Chesterfield, it is one of only a handful of independent suppliers in the UK.
Formed by Midlands based entrepreneur Bobby Kalar, the team at Yü Energy is confident the move to Nottingham will allow the company to continue its massive growth plans.
Mr Kalar said: “We are delighted to have made the move to this thriving city and we know it will be the perfect place to allow the business to grow.
“We have worked hard with a range of software and billing designers to provide the most functional interactive customer support tool that will allow the new team in Nottingham to deal with customer queries quickly and efficiently from a central port.
“We’re very much looking forward to bringing our vision for the energy market to the city.”
Yü Energy has already had hundreds of enquiries about jobs at the new site. The firm is still looking for outbound sales advisors, customer service advisors and sales ledger assistants.
