This month saw the leading UK regeneration specialist, St. Modwen, complete and deliver a custom-built new warehousing facility for local footwear specialist, Gardiner Bros & Co (Leathers) Ltd at its Quedgeley West Business Park, near junction 12 of the M5 in Gloucestershire.
Pete Davies, Senior Development Manager for St. Modwen in the South West, said:
“We are delighted to have been able to develop this new 35,000 sq ft warehouse facility for Gardiner Bros as part of its ongoing expansion plans. St. Modwen has committed to build four new units, totalling 140,000 sq ft, at Quedgeley West within the last 18 months as the commercial property market continues to recover. Alongside this growing business confidence, St. Modwen is well placed to design and build bespoke new warehousing, industrial and office facilities, quickly and cost effectively in order to meet occupier requirements, across its four key sites in Gloucestershire.”
Peter Gardiner, Joint Chairman of Gardiner Bros & Co (Leathers) Ltd, added:
“We are now gearing up to move into our new premises at Quedgeley West in early August when the interior fit out is complete. This bespoke new unit delivered by St. Modwen will allow us to expand alongside our existing site and effectively double the size of our current operation over time which is good news for our business and for local new job opportunities.”
Quedgeley West Business Park is one of four sites being developed by St. Modwen in Gloucestershire. The other sites are Quedgeley East Business Park, adjacent to Junction 12, Gateway 12 at Waterwells Business Park and the £150 million Littlecombe scheme in Dursley.
Quedgeley West Business Park agents are Alder King and Ash and Co.
