A further phase of new industrial / trade counter units is now planned at Central Park, Bridgend, following the granting of planning permission.
David Aubrey of developer Robert Hitchins Limited confirmed the company has been given permission to construct new units ranging from 15,500 sq ft to 155,000 sq ft and totalling 282,000 sq ft. He said: “New units for sale or to let can now be constructed to occupier specifications from within 30 weeks of agreeing a deal.
“The first phase of modern trade counter style units at Central Park proved a great success, despite a very challenging market, and we hope to continue this success with these new larger units.”
Neil Francis, head of Industrial agency at Knight Frank, is marketing the new units. He said: “There is a general lack of Grade A industrial space in the Bridgend area so these new units provide an excellent opportunity to secure a property that precisely matches the occupier’s requirement.
“There is no doubt that the market is picking up in Bridgend and the developer intends to capitalise on this by progressing high-quality commercial buildings.”
John Jones of joint agents Herbert R Thomas adds: “Central Park benefits from a great location, within the heart of Bridgend Industrial Estate, centrally within South Wales and with very good access to the M4. These new units are likely to appeal to many different types of business user, including warehousing, head office, trade counter and motor dealerships.”
