A team of ten from leading law firm Cartwright King will be taking part in the annual Nottingham Legal Walk on 9 June.
The event is organised by the Midland Legal Support Legal Trust (MLST) – a charity providing financial and other support to groups and agencies in the Midlands which offer free legal advice.
The 10k evening walk, which sets off from Nottingham Magistrates Court, traditionally attracts hundreds of entrants including judges, barristers, solicitors, legal executives, welfare rights advisers, support staff as well as friends and families.
The team from Cartwright King comprises Naomi De Silva , Maria Moore, Rachel Harvey, Lauren Crow, Rebecca Charlesworth, Laura Pinkney, Chris Powell, Ben Trott, Victoria Rutherford, and Tom Hughes.
Organiser Naomi De Silva said: “We always have a great time on the night and really enjoy taking part. As a firm, we try to support the charity as much as possible within our fundraising activities as we know the money goes towards such a good cause.”
The Nottingham Legal Walk is one of a series of similar events held around England and Wales. Striding out in teams representing chambers, law firms, courts, law colleges or in-house legal departments, walkers raise hundreds of thousands of pounds to provide free legal advice to people in desperate need.
