Highbridge is delighted to welcome another well-known name to Cobalt, the UK’s largest business park located in North Tyenside, Barnardo’s, the leading charity which works to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people, has leased 4,955 sq ft at Cobalt 13a.
The charity has secured ground floor space in Cobalt 13a, a state-of-the-art three storey office building, designed around a large central entrance and featuring a dramatic glazed façade and a double height feature reception area.
Adrian Hill, director, Highbridge, said: “We are delighted that Barnardo’s chose to relocate to Cobalt Park, the development’s excellent public transport links and supporting facilities were a major factor in their decision making.”
Aidan Baker, director, Newcastle office agency at BNP Paribas Real Estate, who brokered the deal, commented: “Cobalt Park offers companies of all sizes, operating within all sectors, flexible office space of the highest quality that is supported by unrivalled travel connections. It is great to see a leading charity become the latest arrival at the Park.”
Steve Oversby, director of Barnardo’s in the North East, said: “We are pleased to have found this new accommodation on the Cobalt Business Park. Our current building in Jesmond is no longer fit for purpose and the move is in line with both our strategic objectives as an organisation and the way forward for Barnardo’s in the North East.”
This letting follows swiftly on from the three deals announced at the beginning of 2014, in which G4S secured 10,000 sq ft at Cobalt 8, Accenture 10,000 sq ft at Cobalt 15a and IBM 5,000 sq ft at Cobalt Central.
