DTZ today announced the establishment of the ‘Building Engineering Services’ division as a new skill line within Project & Building Consultancy.
Tony Comber, Director in London will lead the team alongside Derek Lawrence, Director in Birmingham. The four-strong team also includes Adrian Vickers (Birmingham) and Nicholas Wright (London) and will work closely with the existing skill heads.
The team is able to bring mainstream consultant level system knowledge and experience to our clients’ portfolios. With our experience we can optimise asset performance and help clients improve on their own KPIs such as corporate social responsibility, business continuity, occupant satisfaction and more.
Our engineers have capability in all areas of Building Engineering Services across a broad range of property sectors. From assistance in establishing the brief to final handover we support the client team in the development of sustainable and energy efficient solutions.
Ian Thomas, UK Head of Project & Building Consultancy at DTZ said: “I am delighted that we are able expand the range of services our Building & Project Management Consultancy can deliver. Tony is an Electrical Engineer and joined DTZ from hurleypalmerflatt. Derek Lawrence is a Mechanical Engineer and joins from Arup. Both bring additional skills to our current client offering and represent the start of an exciting new initiative to further grow our Building & Project Management Consultancy across the UK.”
Tony Comber comments: “There is a great opportunity for DTZ to capture opportunities in response to clients’ requirements related to Building Engineering Services. Bringing the skill line in house enables us to react quickly to clients’ needs and enables a seamless service providing added value.”
Derek Lawrence comments: “Bringing our new-build design strategies to the existing building market opens the door for making a real difference where fundamental building performance problems lie. DTZs client contacts at a decision making level within these markets gives us an exciting new landscape to explore.”
