The question was – ooooh lives in a ‘ouse like this?
Keith Lemon lookalike Ed Gamble, of CBRE, took 360 property professionals on a hilarious video tour of properties including a £1.5 million Little Aston mansion, a 20,000 sq ft Birmingham office block, a well-known lap dancing club and a caravanette.
Each was linked to a well-known property personality, with ‘Keith’ providing clues to their identities as he took the audience Through the Property Keyhole.
Highlights of the Brendas 2014 – the annual tongue-in-cheek awards event that sees the Birmingham commercial property sector raise funds for disadvantaged children – included an attempt at pole dancing and a questionable shower scene.
This year’s event, staged at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham and sponsored by Turkish Airlines, collected more than £25,000 for the Property for Kids charity.
The show, celebrating its 10th anniversary, was once again hosted by Jilly Cosgrove, of Barques, and Jamie Sutton of DBK.
The awards – a collection of painted garden gnome trophies – were presented to Simon Robinson, of Newhall capital Advisers, Jonathan Robinson, of DTZ, Ian Hughes, of Rowley Hughes Thompson, Alison Monteith and Derek Matthews, of Monteith Scott, Philippa Pickavance, of Philippa Pickavance Real Estate, and Mike Hargreaves, of Coltham Developments.
Jilly said: “I have to say an enormous thank you to Ed who was fantastic as Keith Lemon. And to all those that won awards, I’d like to say a big thank you for allowing us an interesting and very funny glimpse into their lives. Once again all our friends involved in commercial property across the West Midlands have shown how very generous they are by helping Property for Kids raise more than £25,000.”
