Hot on the heels of the recent announcement that planning permission has been granted for a new VW dealership, the developer of Matford Green Business Park has confirmed that a planning application has been submitted by Snows Group for a new combined Lexus and Toyota dealership on the adjoining plot.
The dealership will be prominently located with frontage to Bad Homburg Way.
Subject to receipt of planning consent, it is hoped that the building will be completed during the middle of 2015.
Snows Motor Group has a very proud association with Toyota and Lexus which now spans 27 years with a current representation of six Toyota and three Lexus sites across the South of England.
Stephen Snow, the chairman of the company said, “The highly encouraging recent uplift in the economy has come at just the right time to bolster confidence and signal the go-ahead for investments in these great brands in a thriving city like Exeter.
“The new site will generate additional employment in the city as well as providing customers with a more modern facility with greatly improved parking. We are delighted with this opportunity and very much look forward to continuing to provide our award-winning service to old and new Toyota and Lexus customers in Exeter for many years to come.”
Paul Withers of Eagle One, on behalf of the landowner, added: “There remains one more main road frontage plot within the development and we have a number of car dealerships interested in it.”
The Business Park has potential to accommodate a wide range of uses with planning consent for up to 500,000 sq ft of employment space including office, industrial and warehousing, and up to 30,000 sq ft for a public house, restaurant and other retail facilities .
Property consultants Alder King and Colliers International are retained to market the Business Park.
