Morris Property and TSR have let 7 St Austin Friars to the well established youth theatre and dramatics group, Get Your Wigle On. The tenant viewed the premises before the To Let board was erected with the letting completing extremely quickly.
St Austin Friars is right in the heart of Shrewsbury meaning the studio is easily accessible to people who wish to attend the various sessions on offer as well as being close to the Theatre Severn where Get Your Wigle On produces a wide variety of musicals and concerts throughout the year with regular performances at the Theatre.
The Get Your Wigle On group was set up by two ambitious entrepreneurs, Ross Wigley and James Broxton, in June 2012 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
As well as events and performances, Get Your Wigle On organise Wigle trips, birthday parties, discos and other social activities.
Liz Lowe of Morris Property said: ‘’We were delighted in the speed at which TSR were able to identify a potential occupier of the property and help secure their interest.’’
Juliet Young of Get Your Wigle on commented: “We were initially looking to move to secure a more permanent studio for our rehearsals and classes, and the longer lease on this property has allowed us to really feel at home and add all the special touches that our members love.
We feel really lucky to have a town centre building in an excellent location; close to the river, Sixth Form College, parking, and our summer school children are already looking forward to trips to the Quarry for lunch and games.
The facilities are brilliant and we have now completed the construction of a stage for all our classes to enjoy- with it doubling as an excellent events venue. With so many children coming through our doors each day, it is amazing to have found a home for our company which allows them to grow and create more memories in a fantastic venue.”
