Lodders Solicitors has won a competitive tender to provide legal services for Stratford Town Trust.
Stratford Town Trust is a grant-giving charity based in Stratford-upon-Avon which is dedicated to supporting local people and community projects.
Trust chief executive Helen Munro said: “We provide funding for activities which improve the quality of life for people living in the town.”
Since 2001 the Trust has given out around £1 million each year to local causes, community projects and initiatives.
The tender to provide legal services covering charitable, corporate and employment law was won by a Lodders team including partners Mark Lewis and Steven Baker and solicitor Amrit Rama.
Mark Lewis heads Lodders’ charities and not-for-profit team and has over 20 years’ experience in the sector.
He said: “This is a growing area of work for Lodders and we intend to build on this latest new business win.
“We already provide legal services to a number of charities and not-for-profit organisations including Warwickshire Association for the Blind, Imagineering, Royal Association of British Dairy Farms and are actively tendering for a number of other projects in this sector.”
Helen Munro said: “We are thrilled to be working with Lodders, in particular Mark Lewis because of his background and experience in working with charities and charity law.
“Lodders share our commitment to Stratford and we look forward to working together.”
