New tenant flies in to Castle Donington Air Cargo Centre

A Midlands aviation business has arrived at East Midlands Airport following continued business expansion.

Commercial property agents Innes England and FHP acted on behalf of the landlord, Anglo Scandinavian Estates LLP, to secure the deal on the 3,000 sq ft industrial premises to Ground Operation Equipment Support Ltd (GOES).

GOES is a leading name in service, repairs and parts within the aviation industry and with over 20 years’ experience working on all types of ground service equipment for Airline companies.

Headquartered in Birmingham, it has added a second depot at the Air Cargo Centre in Castle Donington.

Dave Christie from GOES said: “This is a great location for GOES Ltd to expand and continue to support our customers and also create new accounts.”

Nick Hosking, director at Innes England’s Derby office which acts on behalf of the asset managers Commercial Estates Group (CEG), said: “We are delighted to have achieved this first letting on behalf of Anglo Scandinavian Estates LLP. GOES was already working at the airport but needed a good quality and conveniently located base from which to expand the business.”

The Air Cargo Centre is located off Beverley Road, within the East Midlands Airport campus.

It was purchased earlier this year as part of a large portfolio with the asset management undertaken by CEG, which has re-branded the estate and is undertaking a programme of improvements.

The majority of the Air Cargo Centre was constructed in 1985 and comprises 23 units with a total floor area of circa 200,000 sq ft. Innes England and FHP are now marketing two other refurbished units of 3,700 sq ft.

Existing businesses at the Air Cargo Centre include DHL, Nikon Metrology and Dunwoody Airline.

East Midlands Airport is the UK’s leading express freight and mail hub with unrestricted night cargo flights and 89% of mainland England and Wales within four hours’ drive time.
