Acting on behalf of RS Bird Ltd, property consultancy Alder King has secured a third retail letting at Birds Lane, the highly successful new retail development in Cowbridge, 10 miles west of Cardiff.
Rohan, the UK’s leading brand of travel and outdoor clothing and equipment, has agreed terms on Unit 3 Birds Lane, taking the 1,354 sq ft unit on a new 10 year lease at a stepped rent. The unit will complement existing occupiers Waitrose, Fat Face and Caffe Nero as well as other high end retailers on Cowbridge High Street.
Emma Smith of Alder King’s retail agency team says: “Birds Lane provides a high quality retail environment within an affluent catchment area and has successfully met the exacting site selection criteria of many upmarket brands. Rohan enhances the development’s upmarket credentials and will make a very positive addition to the line-up.”
Alder King has worked closely with RS Bird throughout the development life cycle of Birds Lane, providing development consultancy, planning, project management and retail agency services.
The Rohan franchise will be operated by Alan and Ellena Rose, with funding from NatWest. They worked with NatWest relationship manager Andrew Tummon to help them secure funding to purchase the franchise and fit out the shop.
Andrew said: “This unit is in a prime site in Cowbridge and Alan and Ellena are experienced business people. NatWest was delighted to be able to help them bring this franchise to fruition and we wish them every success and look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
