GBR Phoenix Beard has recruited three new people to the Asset Management team following an expansion in client instructions. The additions come on the back of the firm having secured long-term reappointments to management contracts for two of the UK’s top ten ranked fund mandates in April 2014. Australian native Ben Crough joins as an Associate Director, having relocated to the UK owing to family commitments. He previously worked for Asciano, a top 50 Australian Stock Exchange (‘ASX’) company where he was responsible for the Pacific National Rail property portfolio. Rakesh Joshi is GBR Phoenix Beard’s latest graduate surveyor recruit, and with significant experience of working for Land Registry, bringing valuable compliance credentials to the team. Chris Thompson has been appointed as a property administrator, having previously worked for iSoft in a financial analyst role. All three new joiners will be based in the Birmingham office of GBR Phoenix Beard, but will service the firm’s national client base.
Catherine Gabriel, Head of Asset Management nationally commented:
“I am delighted to welcome Ben, Rakesh and Chris to the team, and the appointments signal our commitment to client service. The retained client base is the backbone of GBR Phoenix Beard and we are consistently reappointed through cyclical competitive tenders, which proves we must be doing something right. It is vital that we have strength and depth in the management team to ensure we can pay the attention to detail required by clients. Additionally, many of our clients have made property acquisitions over the last 12 months, increasing the number of properties we manage across the team.”
