DTZ has today announced the appointment of Claire Biddle as Assistant Planning Consultant to its Development Consulting team in Birmingham.
Claire joins DTZ from MJCA, a specialist environmental consultancy in Warwickshire where she worked predominantly on minerals, waste and energy planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIAs) on projects around the country.
In her new role, Claire, who has an MSc in Planning Practice and Research from Cardiff University, will be preparing applications for commercial and residential projects, reviewing planning policy to inform development decisions, identifying sites with development potential for clients and working on strategic site promotion.
Jonathan Turner, Director in DTZ’s Development Consulting team, comments: “Claire’s appointment to the team strengthens our planning offer, providing advice to a range of clients on development potential and negotiating applications for planning permission. Claire will be involved in work for a number of our key clients including E.ON, Royal Mail and the Education Funding Agency, as well as assisting the team deliver major projects for residential and mixed use development.”
DTZ’s seven strong Development Consulting team has been involved in a number of high profile projects across the Midlands including, New Street Gateway, Icknield Port Loop and Birmingham’s Enterprise Zone. Claire’s appointment follows the additions of Andrew Teage, Rhian Davitt-Jones and Katherine Brooker to DTZ’s Northern region planning team.
