Bridges Sustainable Property Fund has secured Sally Salon Services as the latest tenant at Airedale House, Leeds, following the announcement of a comprehensive refurbishment of the building.
Sally Salon Services, one of the UK’s leading hair and beauty suppliers, will take a 6,196 sq ft retail unit at Airedale House which comprises of 26,337 sq ft of retail space and 15,056 sq ft of office accommodation with tenants including Slater Menswear and Co-op Travel. CBRE acted for Bridges Ventures and Marchmont Chartered Surveyors represented Sally Salon Services.
Airedale House, which was acquired for £4M in January this year by Bridges Sustainable Property Fund, managed by fund manager Bridges Ventures, will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment to upgrade the quality of the office stock and accommodation as well as focusing on environmentally friendly features. These will include intelligent lighting, the most efficient air conditioning system currently available, and the use of energy harvesting technology through photovoltaic panels, all of which substantially reduce operational costs for tenants.
CBRE continues to be involved at Airedale House as the firm’s Capital Markets team acquired the building, its Building Consultancy division is managing the sustainable refurbishment works and its Property Management team has also been instructed as managing agent.
