A national electrical wholesale company has decided to relocate and expand its operation in Derby on Ascot Business Park.
Edmundson Electrical agreed a deal with Derby-based Conder Developments Ltd, part of the CWC Group. The new facility has been constructed in a record time and opens for business shortly.
Edmundson Electrical, which serves trade and industry from more than 250 premises across the UK, has agreed a 15 year lease on a 14,526 sq ft (1,350 sq m) trade counter unit on Longbridge Lane, Ascot Business Park. Derby property agents Salloway secured the lease with the company on behalf of landlord Conder Developments.
Paul Shanley, managing director at Conder Developments, said: “We are delighted that Edmundson Electrical decided to relocate to Ascot Business Park along with our other high profile occupiers. This deal concludes this 10 acre development site which has created hundreds of jobs since its inception and demonstrates our continuing investment and confidence in Derby”

Edmundson Electrical was looking to relocate to more modern premises, and we have managed to work with both them and the landlord to secure a deal suitable to both parties.”
The estate, off the A5111 with good links to both the ring road and M1 is already home to a range of businesses including successful business’s such as Pattonair and Pentaxia.

Derby City Council was supportive in the planning consent and the construction works have been completed in record time with Practical Completion achieved as promised.
