A high profile new office headquarters for Henkel in Hemel Hempstead has reached a major milestone following a topping out ceremony on site.
To mark the occasion the developers, Stoford, presented Henkel with an engraved silver trowel.
Anglo Holt Construction was appointed to build and fit out the 40,000sq ft three-storey scheme which has been forward funded by British Steel Pension Fund (BSPF) on a 15 year lease.
Thenew HQ is located adjacent to Henkel’s existing facility on Wood End Lane and is due for completion this summer. It will bring together staff from Henkel’s offices in Hatfield and Aylesbury and reaffirms Henkel’s commitment to Hemel Hempstead.
A global leader in brands and technologies, Henkel was founded in Germany in 1876 and operates worldwide. The company’s portfolio of brands includes Schwarzkopf, Pritt, Sellotape and Loctite.
Matt Burgin, Joint Managing Director at Stoford said:
“We are delighted to be able to provide Henkel with such a landmark building and look forward to handing the offices over to them on time.”
Mike Peacock, ‘One Roof’ Project Manager at Henkel added “We are very impressed with the quality of the new building and are really looking forward to bringing our Adhesives, Beauty Care and UK Headquarters teams together under ‘One Roof’ for the first time.”
Savills were appointed on behalf of Stoford Developments and John Arkwright & Co acted for BSPF.
