DTZ has appointed Stuart La Frenais as Senior Director in the UK Retail Agency team. Stuart will be based in London and will bolster DTZ’s retail capability in the UK and EMEA. He will also work closely with Adrian Powell, Head of EMEA Retail to further drive forward the EMEA platform.
Stuart has over 25 years experience in the retail property market. Most recently, he was a Consultant at Jackson Criss responsible for shopping centre leasing instructions across the UK as well as advising retail and leisure clients on their expansion strategy across the UK. Prior to this, Stuart was Head of UK Retail at JLL for over 13 years. In this period he was responsible for the full spectrum of retail services including acquisitions and disposals as well as advising high profile occupiers across the UK and Europe. In addition, Stuart set up a new Retail Asset Management business providing a bespoke service to banking clients.
Stuart joins DTZ’s 80-strong UK retail team and will provide complementary support across the entire retail business.

DTZ’s Associate Director, David Legat has also recently joined the London-based shopping centre leasing team from the Northern retail division to further strengthen and expand the service offered to clients, with his experience in premier scheme development leasing. The premier leasing team, led by Rowen Grandison and Louise Richards, supported by Felicite Russell, Adam Lazenbury and others represent some of the UK’s most significant retail clients, advising on leasing, asset management and tenant mix strategy.
