Gloucester commercial property specialist Julian Capewell has chalked up one of the biggest office deals in the city letting almost 15,000 sq ft at Southgate House.
Pro Insurance has moved their Gloucester headquarters to the prestige docks location from their present base on Metz Way in a deal brokered by Bruton Knowles.
The deal sees the insurance firm take 14,255 sq ft of refurbished space on the second floor of the building – which was purpose-built for the Bank of England in the 1990s – on a ten year lease.
Julian Capewell from Bruton Knowles said: “Pro Insurance wanted more room on a single floor and Southgate House was an ideal move for them.
“The owners have invested a great deal of money in updating the accommodation and work is about to commence on the reception area.
“This is a premium site near the renovated docks in the heart of the city centre with a track record of attracting top quality tenants.”
Other occupiers include QAA , HMRC and JLT Insurance.
Julian Capewell has just two suites left at the four-storey building with 7,700 sq ft on the ground floor and a further 10,290 sq ft on the first floor.
Both are predominantly open plan with some perimeter cellular offices. The ground floor has an additional independent side access.
Julian Capewell concluded: “With the office sector recovering fast top class accommodation is in demand once again.
“Southgate House is at the heart of the city and offers easy access to city centre shops and the popular Gloucester Quays Outlet Centre.”
