A Midlands based specialist design and construction company has been commissioned by one of the region’s most successful fertility clinics to provide a new facility to allow for expansion.
Cleanroom Design and Construction (CDC) will design and build the 7,500 sq. ft. ground floor- including the extensive state of the art laboratories and clinical suite – of the new 15,000 sq. ft. headquarters building for Midland Fertility Services at Tamworth.
As the principal contractor, CDC will design, install, commission and successfully validate the laboratories as well as carry out the other general building work required to transform the premises from their current use as offices into the new clinic. Work has already started on the new headquarters and is due to be complete by August 2014.
CDC Business Development Manager Steve Heyes says, “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Midlands’ largest independent clinic. Their laboratories will be at the cutting edge of reproductive technology, requiring exacting standards from our team of designers, engineers and managers.”
Gillian Lockwood, medical director at Midland Fertility added, “We selected CDC because of their track record of excellence in their field and are looking forward to a successful partnership that will deliver one of the most advanced IVF clinics in the UK.”
