Midlands manufacturer Dunlop Systems and Components has been backed to grow its presence in the UK and export markets at its new purpose-built home.
Accountants and business advisers Chantrey Vellacott has worked with the Coventry firm to formulate an expansion plan which included securing funding to make its move from Holbrook Lane to a new 60,000 sq ft facility at Prologis Park Coventry.
Paul Fenner, partner at Chantrey Vellacott’s Birmingham office on Calthorpe Road, said Dunlop Systems and Components is in a strong position to build on its success when the relocation is completed.
“Dunlop is a household name in UK manufacturing, and the move to a brand new purpose-built facility will only strengthen the company’s already strong position in the UK and international market places,” he said.
“Dunlop Systems and Components is a very profitable business which has outgrown its current home and we’re pleased to have helped the company to put plans in place to secure its long-term future in the city.”
Dunlop Systems and Components designs and manufactures advanced electronic control systems and air suspension components for the automotive industry and was formed in 2007 as a management buy-out of the Dunlop Coventry suspension division factory.
Rob Mansell, Dunlop Systems and Components finance director, said around 60 per cent of the company’s business is through exporting and said the relocation will open up new opportunities.
“Dunlop is synonymous with Coventry and securing a multi-purpose home in the city is vital for the future of the company,” he said.
“The new facility will be extremely efficient to manage and we’re confident it will support future growth of the company and lead to new jobs being created for the city and the wider region.”
