Two technology firms in Warwickshire are proving that ‘everybody needs good neighbours’.
Coleshill-based ACUTEC, a full service IT company, share a building with Century Software, an award-winning Sage partner with a further office in the West Midlands.
Century recently landed a project with Oldbury-based Metpro, which has three separate divisions supplying everything from brackets and fixings to security equipment.
Century was called in to offer Metpro support with the Sage accountancy software and when the firm discovered that the company was also looking for general IT support, it introduced ACUTEC.
ACUTEC has also since been called in to upgrade Metpro’s hardware infrastructure so it has proved to be a good project all round for the neighbourly businesses.
James Dignan, of Century Software, said it was a very productive relationship.
He said: “Between us, we’ve shared around a dozen clients already and Metpro are the latest.
“In business, it is sometimes difficult to put forward another company because you have to have 100 per cent faith in the business you are recommending.
“We know ACUTEC extremely well and they are one of our trusted hardware partners. We know they have exactly the same commitment to quality and service that we do, so we are always only too happy to mention their name when clients ask us about hardware.
“It’s a great relationship to have and brings benefits to both businesses and, indeed, our clients.”
Chris Roche, the managing director of ACUTEC, said there was mutual respect between the two companies.
He said: “It’s great to be based within the same building and to share the same values as a company.
“We’ve both picked up work that, otherwise, we probably wouldn’t have known about had we not recommended each other.
“This contract with Metpro is the latest deal to have come from a recommendation of this type and, as they say, everybody needs good neighbours.”
