Leading law firm Geldards is set to support a charity bike ride, as two of its lawyers prepare to cycle 100 miles from Cardiff to Tenby.
Charles Felgate and Tomos Phillips, who both specialise in Planning and Public Law within the firm’s Commercial Property department, are set to join over 1000 riders taking part in the CARTEN 100 cycle ride.
Charles explained: “Tomos and I are really looking forward to the challenge and it’s a fantastic way of raising money for Geldards’ national charity partner Marie Curie Cancer Care.”
Geldards will also sponsor the event which will see cyclists set off from Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday May 10, with riders covering 100 miles over 10 hours as they make their way to Tenby.
Charles, a Partner in the firm’s Cardiff office, continued: “The firm are delighted to be supporting CARTEN 100 and we hope the event inspires our colleagues and peers to get on their bike and get active.
“Tomos and I are looking forward to a challenging route of A-roads, B-roads, cycle paths and of course – plenty of hills! We’ve both been training for the ride for a number of weeks and recently completed the Tour of Pembrokeshire in preparation for the ride.”
Geldards’ support and involvement in CARTEN 100 follows the achievements of Paul Southby, a Partner in the firm’s Nottingham office, who raised £5,000 for children’s charity Coram when he cycled from London to Cannes in March.
