One of Wales’ leading independent law firms has advised on the naming rights for the Bolton Wanderers Stadium.
JCP Solicitors provided legal advice and support to Italian sports apparel company Macron for a four-year deal that will see the Wanderers’ venue, which has been known as the Reebok Stadium since its 1997 opening, renamed the Macron Stadium from July 2014.
The Bologna-headquartered company will also supply the club’s playing kit, along with training and leisurewear, which will be launched later in the summer.
Led by Partner Christian Edwards, JCP Solicitors advised Macron throughout the negotiations. Christian, who is a sports law specialist at the firm said: “Having previously worked with Macron for their record deal sponsoring the kit of Scottish Rugby, it was great to be involved in this venture.
