Hill Dickinson has bolstered its Employment & Pensions team with the announcement of two new high profile appointments.
Daniel Rubin and David Parry join Hill Dickinson as Partners from Ward Hadaway. Both bring extensive experience in advising clients on all aspects of employment law including tribunal and High Court litigation, restrictive covenant disputes, large scale corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, boardroom disputes, outsourcing, senior executive appointments & exits, trade union matters and all aspects of the TUPE regulations and transactional employment advice.
With experience acting for a range of clients from SMEs through to large PLCs, Daniel and David provide high quality employment law advice to clients across a range of sectors including telecoms, food and drink, financial services, professional services, life sciences, recruitment, retail, manufacturing and logistics.
Hill Dickinson has also welcomed Mark Ridler as a Legal Director in the Pensions team. Formerly a Partner with DWF, Mark will be based across Hill Dickinson’s offices in Manchester and Sheffield, working alongside head of pensions, Barry Gibb to bolster the team’s expertise in the market. Mark brings with him over 20 years’ experience advising on all pensions-related issues, with particular experience in changing benefit structures, company restructuring, risk management, occupational pension and SIPP documentation and Pensions Regulator proceedings. Mark is also recommended by Chambers for his outstanding transactional and trusteeship work.
On the growth of the team, Head of Employment & Pension at Hill Dickinson, Jeff Middleton, said: “As a firm it is our strategy to invest in the sectors that we see as growth areas for the firm. In line with this, we are investing in talent to position the Employment & Pensions team in a fast changing legal market where we see great opportunity to grow our client base, not only in the North West but across the UK. As a team we anticipate great opportunity for growth and Daniel, David and Mark are all very well connected in their respective fields to maximise this opportunity.
“These latest additions coincide with appointment of James Williams who joins our London office. The team, in particular David and Daniel, will be working closely with James in the City, where we see particular opportunity within the M25 Orbital to expand our client base.
“The London market is unique in that it presents its own City-specific employment law issues, such as contractual disputes around bonuses and business immigration compliance, to name just a few. We see a great opportunity for our team to support these international businesses from our offices across the UK and overseas, bringing our cradle-to-grave services and unrivalled expertise to the fold to advise clients on all employment and pensions related issues including tribunal avoidance and, in the cases where disputes escalate, litigation.”
Daniel Rubin and David Parry will be based out of Hill Dickinson’s Manchester office. Mark Ridler will work across the firm’s Manchester and Sheffield offices and James Williams will be based out of the London office.
