Alastair Fearn of FHP Property Consultants has successfully generated a 5 figure business rates refund relating to premises occupied by specialist mould manufacturers R&D/Leverage. The company are based on Hamilton Road, Sutton in Ashfield and occupy a modern manufacturing facility extending to approximately 30,000ft².

“After providing the company with valuation advice I decided to take a closer look at the company’s business rate liabilities both in respect of the existing 2010 rateable value and also the more historic 2005 rateable value. I was of the opinion that the way in which the property had been valued previously was incorrect and that the company had been overpaying business rates since the property was constructed in 2006.”
