Mortgage specialist Exact Mortgage Experts Ltd has more than tripled its space at Wolverhampton Business Park, reinforcing the site’s reputation as a leading home of financial and professional services organisations.
Originally occupying 5,378 sq ft on the first floor of 2 Charter Court, the mortgage lending specialist has taken 5,137 sq ft on the building’s ground floor as well as the entire 12,302 sq ft in 1 Charter Court.
Other tenants at the site include HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Santander, endorsing the park’s reputation as a high quality business development and emerging financial centre.
As part of the Black Country Enterprise Zone, the 30 acre Wolverhampton Business Park sits adjacent to Junction 2 of the M54 motorway. The site currently has 14 commercial buildings totalling 260,000 sq ft, with a masterplan for the development of up to 450,000 sq ft of Grade A business accommodation.
The business park is being delivered by developer Broadlands Wolverhampton Ltd, a joint venture partnership between B&R Properties and Peveril Securities.
Jonathan Rogers of Broadlands Wolverhampton, said: “There has been a significant level of activity along the M54 corridor, with JLR’s development of the Engine Manufacturing Centre in the area demonstrating a renewed economic confidence.
“This dramatic expansion by Exact Mortgage Experts Ltd is testament to both the quality of Wolverhampton Business Park and its location, with outstanding connectivity to the West Midlands motorway network.
“The area around Junction 2 of the M54 is gaining significant momentum. Combined with the improving economic markets, we are perfectly positioned to provide high quality space for expanding businesses.”
Established in 2008, Exact Mortgage Experts Ltd was set up with the aim of providing a one stop solution for asset traders as well as mortgage servicing and asset management for banks and building societies.
Mark Smith, Director of Operations, Exact Mortgage Experts Ltd, said: “We have seen significant growth since starting the business here, adding a number of contracts and expanding our team from 25 to over 100 within the mortgage lending division alone.
“This expansion is a natural progression for us. When we established the business, we looked at a number of sites but Wolverhampton Business Park provided an ideal mix of access to a rich talent pool, motorway connections on our doorstep, on-site amenities and far more parking that we found in the city centre.”
Wolverhampton Business Park is the first location to be granted a Local Development Order (LDO) by Wolverhampton Council, providing a greatly simplified planning process for the potential development of up to 168,445 sq ft (15,649 sq m) of new office buildings on the site.
