Staff at a South Coast accountancy firm are planning to celebrate its centenary by shedding 100 pounds in 100 days.
Sixteen team members at the Poole office of Princecroft Willis (PcW) are taking part in the charity slimming challenge.
The first weigh-in at the premises of client Reliance Scrap Metal in Nuffield Road revealed a collective weight of 2,993 lbs or nearly 214 stone.
It’s hoped to have this figure down to 2,893 lbs by the end of the 100 days in June, an average weight loss of 6.25lbs per person.
Proceeds are being donated to Dorset Mind, an independent charity which helps people cope with mental health problems.
A further 14 staff at PcW’s New Milton office are nearing the end of their campaign to shed 100lbs in 100 days.
The challenge started in February and is due to end this month (April) when they hope to have gone from a collective weight of 2,508 lbs down to 2,408 lbs.
Proceeds from the New Milton slimming challenge are being donated to Oakhaven Hospice at Lymington.
Mark Johns, Managing Partner, said Princecroft Willis was planning a number of charity initiatives to celebrate the firm’s 100th anniversary.
“Raising, hopefully, hundreds of pounds in cash for a worthy cause by shedding at least one hundred pounds in weight is an excellent start to our centenary celebrations,” he added.
Princecroft Willis has offices in Poole and New Milton and offers a full range of accounting services from audit to taxation.
Locally based, independent and with strong community roots, the firm has ten partners and more than 100 team members.
