GBR Phoenix Beard has recruited Michael McCaffrey to head up the Health and Safety (H&S) team in Birmingham. Michael brings over 25 years’ experience covering all aspects of H&S, and working with a diverse range of client portfolios covering the industrial, office, retail and residential sectors. A fully qualified Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) practitioner, as well as a Construction Design and Management (CDM) co-ordinator, Michael will provide specialist H&S services to GBR Phoenix Beard’s retained clients, as well as providing standalone H&S services for new development projects.
Talking about his appointment, Michael said:
“I have been very impressed with GBR Phoenix Beard’s accomplishments in the H&S arena. The HSE is on a drive to ensure businesses are complying with government legislation, with costly Fee for Interventions (FFI’s) being issued for those companies not meeting their legal obligations. It is important that we are able to offer our clients a full suite of risk assessments, audits, and advice where required, tailored to their needs whilst always promoting a safe working environment.”
Michael is supported by David Lloyd who has recently been shortlisted for Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (BYPY) in the Property and Construction category.
