A Newport-based VAT consultancy has added a new senior manager to its award-winning team.
Andrew Norris has joined Centurion VAT Specialists from KPMG where he gained a wealth of experience dealing with complex VAT issues.
At Centurion, Andrew will be working with corporate businesses to deliver their internal VAT management and support them on special projects.
Andrew said: “The beauty of working with a company like Centurion is that I will be carrying out the same type of work, for similar clients but in a much more relaxed environment. Away from the pressures of working for the ‘Big Four’, we can really focus on the client and making sure that they get the best results.
“Centurion’s reputation for efficiency and quality has steadily grown and I’m delighted to join the team to help them build their service offering, especially in the corporate market.”
Centurion VAT Specialists’ director, Liz Maher, said: “We pride ourselves on having a high level of expertise in our team. Andrew comes from a strong ‘Big Four’ background and as such, fits right in.
“As part of our ambitious expansion plans, we have identified a number of sectors which we intend to target in the next few years and with his corporate experience, Andrew will lend another element to our business.”
Centurion was founded in 1998, primarily to work alongside the University of Wales, Newport, since then it has grown to include six senior level VAT practitioners who have expertise in sectors including education, third sector, housing associations and manufacturing.
With offices in Bristol and Newport, the company aims to build on its existing reputation to become the largest independent VAT consultancy in Wales and the South West.
