A leading South Wales law firm has promoted three of its solicitors to Associate roles.
Sara Uren, Siobhan Downes and Lauren Watkins have all been recognised for the significant contributions they have made to HardingEvans’ continuing success since joining the firm in 2007.
Joy Phillips, Practice Director said: “Developing and retaining staff is one of our top priorities and this is reflected in our desire to promote from within, ensuring that the investment we make in our staff reaps dividends in the future. All three new Associates have shown commitment and dedication to both the firm and our clients. The retention and development of such talent has been key to our past success and is vital to our future plans”.
All three Associates started their careers with Harding Evans in their residential conveyancing department before embarking on training contracts and qualifying into their chosen specialisms.
Sara said: “I am very thankful to have been recognised for my hard work and loyalty, in particular to the medical negligence department, by becoming an Associate. I have been very fortunate with the support and encouragement I have received over the years and I look forward to the future and the challenges ahead.
“Medical negligence is such a diverse area of the law and I feel truly privileged to be a part of one of the largest medical negligence teams in Wales.”
Siobhan went on to specialise in children’s law and has recently gained Law Society Accreditation as an expert in Children’s Law and is also a member of the specialist Law Society Children’s Panel.
Siobhan said: “I am delighted to have had the opportunities I have since joining HardingEvans. The past year has been very busy for us in the Family Department, following my admission to the Law Society’s Children’s Panel and with a new partner, Kate Thomas, joining us recently.
“Becoming an Associate is the icing on the cake and as both the department and the firm continue to go from strength to strength.”
Lauren said: “In the last eight years I have seen HardingEvans go from strength to strength. One of the advantages of joining Harding Evans was that as a large firm with many practice areas I was given a broad training before deciding to specialise in medical negligence upon qualification. This is a niche area of the law and only a limited number of law firms in Wales actually have specialist teams who act for patients’
“I am very grateful to HardingEvans for investing in, and supporting me in the future development of my career.”
HardingEvans is one of South Wales’ most progressive law firms, offering a full range of legal services to businesses and individuals.
