The West Midlands Industrial Agents Society (IAS) has raised £3,000 for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.
The funds were raised through a calendar of events organised by the IAS, including their annual Christmas party, a charity cricket match, a technical visit to Jaguar Land Rover and a summer BBQ.
Jonathan Robinson, West Midlands Chairman at the IAS and Associate Director DTZ, commented: “We are delighted to be able to make this donation and support the fantastic work that is carried out by St Mary’s Hospice. A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has supported the fundraising, either by attending events we have organised, sponsorship and donating gifts.”
St Mary’s Hospice cares for people across Birmingham and Sandwell and the majority of their work is carried out within the homes of their patients. They also have a state-of-the-art centre in Selly Park.
Community Fundraiser at St Mary’s Hospice, Amy Moore said: “We are delighted with the donation of £3,000. The funds will enable us to continue providing care to the people of Birmingham and Sandwell and their families. Just to put it into context a donation of this size could potentially pay for 5 days of in-patient care, or 120 hours of Hospice at Home care for a patient. On behalf of the Hospice I would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved.”
