Property consultancy Alder King has strengthened its Planning team with two senior appointments.
Simon Fitton joins the practice as a partner from planning and development group RPS. Simon has particular expertise in the promotion of strategic land through the development plan system, a specialist skill set which will enhance Alder King’s offer to clients and strengthen links with the firm’s residential development team. Simon provides additional experience to the team in the management of major planning applications.
Catherine Norris has joined the firm as a senior planner from Atkins. Catherine previously assisted in the delivery of major infrastructure schemes including HS2 and Bristol MetroBus, in addition to major residential and mixed-use development proposals and was previously at DPDS.
Alder King’s Planning team, headed by partner Alan Pearce, now includes 10 experienced planners providing expert advice to a wide range of private and public sector clients across the UK including BAE, the NHS, C&J Clarks, University of Bristol, UWE, British Solar Renewables as well as major housebuilders and land promoters. The planning team was established in 2006 with six planners and has grown through a challenging market.
Alan Pearce said: “Our Planning team has enjoyed great success on behalf of clients in recent years. The arrival of Simon and Catherine provides valuable experience and resource and allows us to widen our offer and further develop our profile in the strategic land sector.”
