Aviva Investors has secured three office lettings at the iconic 1 City Square in central Leeds, following the completion of a programme of refurbishment at the building.
In total, over 7,000 sq ft of space has been leased in the property in deals concluded by the Leeds offices of JLL and Savills. Business Growth Fund has secured 1,450 sq ft on the ground floor, Watson Burton has taken 4,500 sq ft on the third floor and Box Architects has signed a lease for 1,228 sq ft on the 11th floor.
Julian Cobourne from Aviva Investors said: “1 City Square continues to prove an incredibly popular base for businesses in Leeds. The recent improvement and refurbishment programme has resulted in the building being at the forefront in terms of specification and facilities which can provide a single floor plate solution on the newly refurbished 4th floor which comprises approximately 10,243 sq ft. Occupiers benefit from spectacular working environment and the very best onsite management and security.”
“Overall office vacancy rates in the city are now at their lowest level since 2006 and well below average levels. Whilst the development market is starting to react to this 1 City Square, in Leeds’ most central location, currently offers around 25,000 sq ft of available grade A space which will allow us to continue to retain tenants and accommodate growing businesses.”
JLL and Savills are joint leasing agents on the building.
