Maxim Office Park, Eurocentral, has today announced it has secured a lease extension for existing occupier, Regus, following a very successful trading period for its Maxim business centre. The news follows an announcement made last month that TC BioPharm Ltd has acquired 5,000 sq ft in Maxim 1 to develop a novel treatment for cancer.
Regus, the global workplace provider, has extended the lease for its 17,400 sq ft unit in Maxim 1 and agreed to a new deal. Strong demand in and around the Eurocentral area for flexible workspace has enabled Regus to extend its commitment to Maxim.
Regus’ highly regarded business centre already accommodates over 75 separate organisations, including Shanks Waste Management Ltd, Hope Ready Mixed Concrete Ltd and G & M Civil Engineering, who all regularly utilise the wide range of business services on offer.
Sure Thing!, which recently acquired a 5,000 sq ft in Maxim 3 on a new ten year lease, is a brand new motor insurance company operating in the UK. Following a period of fitting out and then moving into its new office, the firm, which consists of 35 employees, has just launched to the UK market. It will mainly operate through four aggregators: Moneysupermarket, Confused.com, Go Compare and Compare the Market.
Brendan Devine, CEO of Sure Thing!, said: “The right premises and infrastructure are very important and Maxim Office Park has provided us with the accessible location we need, a great work place with amenities on-site and future growth flexibility, all of which are critical to our new business.”
Maxim’s growing number of on-site amenities are proving to be very popular with the (circa) 3,700 employees who operate in the Eurocentral area. In addition to the children’s nursery, the Peppery Horse take-away, Berits & Brown bistro and the putting green, Maxim has recently opened The Fountain, a new fitness, beauty and wellbeing amenity hub. The Fountain is home to services such as physiotherapy, a hairdressers and an ATM and runs regular fitness classes including body combat, metafit, spin and yoga.
Craig Ritchie of Maxim Office Park added: “It is great news that one of our existing tenants, Regus, has chosen to extend its lease due to the fact it is operating so successfully here.
“We constantly liaise with the occupiers to ensure we are offering everything they need, including working with Regus to provide the very latest in workplace flexibility. Our tenants are very satisfied with the facilities we have here at Maxim and that is evident with the Regus lease extension.
“The Park is getting very busy and, with all our new offerings on-site and the numerous events we’ve been hosting with the occupiers, there is a real buzz around the place.”
Maxim Office Park has a range of offices available, from suites of 1,000 sq ft to one of the UK’s largest buildings at 187,000 sq ft. It is strategically located adjacent to the M8 corridor, giving excellent access to the central belt of Scotland.
