Highbridge has just announced three new lettings at Cobalt which confirms the scheme’s status as one of the most successful office parks in the UK.
G4S, the world’s leading secure outsourcing group, has taken an additional 10,000 sq ft within Cobalt 8 where they already occupy 30,000 sq ft. Meanwhile Accenture, the leading management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, has also taken an additional 10,000 sq ft within Cobalt 15a where they already occupy 20,000 sq ft. In addition, IBM has acquired 5,000 sq ft within Cobalt Central.
Adrian Hill, Director of Highbridge, commented: “There can be no better endorsement of a scheme’s quality than major corporate occupiers taking a second building or taking additional floors within their existing building. Highbridge is very proud of the fact that at Cobalt 67% of the occupied floorspace comprises deals of this type where P&G, HP, EE, North Tyneside Council and, most recently, Accenture and G4S have all significantly increased the scale of their operations at Cobalt by acquiring additional floorspace.”
Aidan Baker, Director, Newcastle Office Agency at BNP Paribas Real Estate, added: “Cobalt prides itself on offering modern and sustainable out of town office space, which continues to attract leading companies. We are currently in discussions with several other world-class businesses that are keen to secure the flexible, high quality space on offer and potential 2014 take up looks encouraging.”
Other major occupiers at Cobalt include Newcastle Building Society, Banco Santander, LS Trillium and Formica.
Cushman & Wakefield are joint agents on Cobalt.
