DTZ’s Newcastle office has promoted Chris Donabie to the position of Associate Director to head up the office’s Industrial Agency team.
Chris has been with DTZ since 2005 and has been involved in a number of key deals in the region including the recent sale of the 83,000 sq ft Drum Three building in Chester Le Street to Parcelforce.
Tony Hordon, Senior Director and Head of DTZ’s Newcastle office commented: “It really is an absolute pleasure to announce this promotion. With the market beginning to improve, the time is appropriate to reward Chris’ effort and skills, as well as his considerable profile, in a competitive market. Chris is highly regarded by clients and colleagues alike and I do hope this promotion is the start of his continued journey at DTZ and of course continued success with our valued clients.”
Chris Donabie added: “Following recent restructuring, I was delighted to be asked to lead our Industrial Agency team. The industrial market has shown resilience with the North East proving that it has the right skills in traditional sectors and is leading the way in growth areas such as advanced manufacturing and specialist engineering. It is an exciting time for the market as stock levels have reduced dramatically in key areas, meaning real rental growth is a possibility and with that, the likelihood of much needed development activity in the near term. Along with my colleague, Emma Conville, we are relishing the opportunities the market is presenting right now and the chance to deliver further great results for our clients.”
