St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, is to custom deliver a new 37,000 sq ft facility, for Gloucestershire based aluminium extrusion product supplier, Vision Profiles Ltd, at its Quedgeley West Business Park, near Junction 12 of the M5.
Work on this new storage and light production facility will start in Spring 2014. Pete Davies, Development Manager for St. Modwen, the land owner and developer of the 32 acre Quedgeley West Business Park said:
“We are delighted to be working to deliver a new facility for Vision Profiles Ltd at Quedgeley West. With almost 400,000 sq ft of distribution and industrial space now sold or leased at the Business Park, Vision Profiles will be the penultimate occupier for the scheme. A final 28,000 sq ft detached building will be delivered at the same time and will be ready for occupation in late 2014/early 2015. This unit represents the last remaining opportunity for an occupier to purchase or rent a new building at this established Business Park. We are also ready to start development at our nearby 15 acre site at Gateway 12 in Waterwells. This will deliver additional warehouse, industrial and office accommodation.”
Vision Profiles Ltd currently operates out of two sites and employs 35 people. The company plans to merge its current operations into one purpose built facility at Quedgeley West with an increased floor space of over 30% to enable further expansion of the light manufacturing and machining side of the business to create up to 15 new jobs in the area.
The firm will be in good company at Quedgeley West which is already home to sizeable operations including logistics firm, C M Downton Ltd, world-leading technology and information solutions supplier to the oil and gas industry, Schlumberger and UK courier service company, City Link as well as footwear wholesaler, Gardiner Bros, whose new building completes this Spring.
Alan Grady, managing director at Vision Profiles Ltd, added:
“This relocation is a £3 million investment for Vision Profiles, with a £500,000 capital expenditure in new equipment. Our five year plan is to double our current capacity and further expand our workforce in the area and our new premises at Quedgeley West will enable us to achieve this.”
Quedgeley West Business Park is one of four sites being developed by St. Modwen in Gloucestershire alongside Gateway 12 at Waterwells Business Park, Quedgeley East Business Park, adjacent to Junction 12, and the £150 million Littlecombe scheme in Dursley.
