Calibre Search, specialists in recruiting to the Built Environment, Engineering and Marketing sectors, is relocating to riverside office space at the historic Victoria Wharf in Leeds city centre.
The company has taken 900 sq ft of space on a 5 year lease. DTZ in Leeds acted on behalf of Calibre.
Located alongside the River Aire in the city centre, Victoria Wharf offers over 17,000 sq ft of space. The building has a rich commercial history and was originally commissioned in 1836 by Victoria Ware Company to accommodate its growing oil and dye business. Over the decades, the building has served as a drysalters, a dyeware manufacturer and a flour mill.
Mark Holmes, Surveyor at DTZ in Leeds commented: “I am delighted to have secured Victoria Wharf for Calibre; the building provides an inspiring workplace, fusing period features along with contemporary aspects such as LED lighting, raised floors and also benefits from a recently refurbished reception, showers and communal areas. With the ongoing development of Sovereign Square and the new South Entrance from the station, this is an exciting move for Calibre and will enable their staff to enjoy all the city centre has to offer.”
Mark Lyons, Director at Calibre, which was previously based at Burley Hill Trading Estate, added: “Victoria Wharf meets our requirements for our move into the city centre with a riverside setting and a variety of amenities within walking distance as well as providing space for our expansion in line with our long-term growth plans.”
Greg Davison, Asset Manager for the Landlord GE Capital, commented: “We are pleased to welcome Calibre Search to Victoria Wharf. It is a truly unique building with a rich history, benefitting from exposed brickwork, architectural ironwork and heritage windows, yet offering practical and modern features. I look forward to finding tenants to occupy the last remaining suites.”
The joint marketing agents for Victoria Wharf are DTZ and Jones Lang LaSalle.
