Mather Jamie has helped a Melton-based used car dealership take on additional premises, which will be used to support rapid business growth.
The commercial agents secured Witham Garage Ltd as the new tenant for a 3,407 sq ft (322.41 m²) purpose-built car showroom and MOT workshop on the Leicester Road Industrial Estate in Melton Mowbray, within a week of bringing the premises to the market.
Alex Reid, of Mather Jamie, comments: “We secured a deal within a week of first marketing Unit 1b on Beler way.
“Witham Garage Ltd is an ideal new occupier, as they already occupy existing premises on the estate, and the price achieved was a good one for the location.
“The unit is an established car sales site and features a purpose-built showroom and workshop, with offices to the ground and first floor and substantial parking land area.
“The fact there is no work to do on the site and it has been designed to operate as a car sales site made it a highly attractive, as this type of site rarely comes to the market.”
Formerly occupied by Farmer and Carlisle, the unit benefits from a car showroom, sales office, MOT workshop and storage compound, and will take Witham Garage Ltd’s total accommodation to 16,000 sq ft.
Graham Limbrick, a partner at Witham Garage Ltd, comments: “We needed additional premises in order to expand our operation and the expansion into Unit 1b has allowed us to open an MOT and service centre.
“As a result of the move, we will also be expanding our team of 40 staff by creating five new jobs.
“Being located just off the A607 is excellent for us and the additional space will allow us to hold more stock.”
