Harris Lamb has been announced as one of the top ten industrial property agents in the UK, along with multi-national businesses including Jones Lang LaSalle, CBRE and Lambert Smith Hampton.
The top ten industrial agents account for almost two thirds of all deals conducted in the country, with Harris Lamb holding a three per cent market share of the sector.
The data, which was published this month by EGi, revealed that JLL were the biggest performers nationally, having disposed of 19.8m sq ft and having a 15 per cent market share.
Harris Lamb were ranked ninth, having disposed of 3.9m sq ft.
The report revealed that in total, all ten agents were responsible for 60 per cent of all transactions across the UK.
Director Charles D’Auncey said: “This is a massive coup for Harris Lamb. While we operate all over the UK, we remain a Midlands-based consultancy – so to be included in this table of key industrial players, most of whom have multiple offices nationally and internationally, is a testament to how hard our agents work on clients’ behalf.
“The margins between us and some of our competitors were extremely close, with four individual businesses each holding a four per cent market share based on disposals ranging from 5.6m to 5.1m sq ft, so it’s clearly a closely-run race.”
