Midlands Asset Finance has appointed Ann Soar as its new Business Development Manager. She has joined with six other new members of staff who have recently been recruited as a part of the company’s current expansion.
With extensive experience in arranging asset finance, Ann joins the team after 12 years at Close Asset Finance in Burton-on Trent, where she worked as part of its transport and engineering division.
Ann will use her industry expertise in the transport and construction sectors to create new business opportunities for the Nottingham-based firm which specialises in arranging various types of asset finance and property funding for business.
During Ann’s time in the sector, she has built a wealth of sector knowledge and developed contacts both across the East Midlands and further afield, qualities that make her a highly valuable addition to the firm.
Talking about her appointment, Ann said: “It feels really exciting to be taking on this new role. I have extensive experience of arranging asset finance in the haulage, bus and coach and plant hire sectors which I will be able to draw on in this position and I am very pleased to be working for Midlands Asset Finance.”
Midlands Asset Finance is currently undergoing expansion due to increased demand for the services it provides. Director, Sue Chapman, who was previously senior director of Lombard and makes up one half of the husband and wife team which runs the Midlands Asset Finance, said: “With her experience, Ann will be an extremely valuable addition to the team and will enable us to expand our operations further in this sector.”
Ann’s appointment marks a positive start to what should be a highly successful year for Midlands Asset Finance.
