Independent property consultancy Nolan Redshaw has acquired the freehold of 18 Haymarket Street on behalf of Bury Metropolitan Borough Council in a deal worth in excess of £1million.
Situated in Bury town centre opposite the Metrolink and close to the Knowsley Place development, the building comprises 15,000 sq.ft. of office space, with 50 on site car park spaces.
Mike Redshaw, Director at Nolan Redshaw, commented; “The acquisition of this major asset is key to the wider property strategy of Bury Metropolitan Borough Council and allows the authority to make major savings on annual rent payment, which will result in savings for the taxpayer.”
Councillor Smith, the Council’s Member for Resources said “This acquisition is a key part of the Council’s drive towards realising savings through more efficient use and occupation of property and we are delighted that the deal has come to fruition.”
