Trebor Developments LLP and Hortons’ Estate Limited JV, who are developers for Princess Alice Drive Retail Park, Sutton Coldfield, have announced the letting of all remaining units, which had been speculatively developed by the joint venture, to a single occupier, Furniture Barn, for a major new furniture retail outlet which following fit out is due to commence trading in May 2014.
Trebor/Hortons already had lets in place to American Golf and Greggs on two other units and were marketing the remaining 3 units, which have now been taken for single occupation, in this high quality retail development. Furniture Barn will install a mezzanine, thus providing them with circa 20,000 sq ft of retail accommodation, the unit benefits from double height glazing and a high quality specification.
Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner of Trebor Developments, commented on behalf of the JV:
“The letting of all available retail space to quality occupiers at Princess Alice Retail Park, shortly after completion of the construction works on site, again demonstrates our belief that developing speculative space in excellent, quality, locations and to a high standard, will attract retail tenant interest and again provides justification for the decision to develop speculatively and be one of the few developers prepared to do so across the UK”.
Richard Kimbell, Managing Director of Furniture Barn, who is going to open ten new stores this year said: “I very much look forward to opening the Sutton Coldfield store. This is the second store of the ten we wish to open this year and is an excellent location for us”.
