A firm that provides highway traffic controls and signals works is going back to Burntwood to expand its business after seven successful years in Cannock.
Roadtech Cutting Services Ltd will almost double its capacity when it moves to a 8,619 sq ft unit at Zone 3, Burntwood Business Park, which is owned and managed by West Midlands-based property company London & Cambridge Properties, after signing a 10-year lease for unit 17.
Director Nick Tully said sustained growth over the past few years meant it had outgrown its existing premises in Hawks Green, Cannock, and it had also had to rent an alternative yard to house its vehicles.
The move means all 60 staff and vehicles will be located on a single site, which benefits from a substantial yard, 24/7 estate CCTV monitoring and close proximity the M6 Toll Road.
“We’ve been in Cannock for seven years but we need more space,” explained Nick, of the RoSPA award-winning firm. “This unit has everything we need in terms of space and for the vehicles. We used to be based in Burntwood and most of our staff live there, so the new location will be very convenient.”
The unit is undergoing refurbishment and Roadtech Cutting Services hopes to move in and operate from there in April.
Paula James, sales negotiator at LCP, said the business park had excellent transport links, being just one mile from the M6 Toll Road, as well as being close to A5, M54 and M6 junctions.
“Having access to a good road network was important to Roadtech Cutting Services Ltd and the unit at Zone 3 Burntwood Business Park was ideal in terms of size and location,” she said.
“By moving back to Burntwood, the company feels like it is going home and we were pleased to help it find a much larger unit that will enable it to continue expanding.”
Situated between Cannock and Lichfield on the A5190, Zone 3, Burntwood Business Park offers a range of industrial and warehouse accommodation just six miles from Junction 11 of the M6 and eight miles from Junction 1 of the M54.
Junction T6 of the M6 Toll Road is less than one mile and the A5 is one and a half miles. Road access to Birmingham, The Black Country and the conurbations of both North Staffordshire and East Midlands is good. Existing tenants include Pro Freight Solutions, Partridge Transport Services and Dairy Crest.
