Property consultancy Alder King has won the title of Most Active Agent in the South West from leading property publication Estates Gazette for the 13th year in succession. The firm won the award for the number of deals completed in 2013 in a competition which attracted a record-breaking level of entries.
Once again, it was Alder King’s dominance in the offices and industrial markets, supported by strong performances in the retail and investment sectors, which helped it secure the Most Active Agent title for another year.
Simon Price, head of agency at Alder King, commented: “We are absolutely delighted that our consistently high performance across the board has delivered us this award for a 13th time.
“While the volume of deals we’ve concluded is important, we’re also proud that we were instrumental in securing some of the largest and high profile transactions of the past year. This includes the sale of 100 Temple Street, Bristol on behalf of Aviva to Bristol City Council, the largest occupier deal for a decade, the freehold sale of the 236,666 sq ft Oxford Building at Europa Industrial Park in Swindon as well as some 75,000 sq of industrial pre-lets at Quedgeley West on behalf of St Modwen.
“Prospects for the year ahead look increasingly positive, with occupier confidence on the increase and speculative new builds and refurbishments underway across the region. We look forward to building further on our market-leading position.”
